Tällä kertaa haluamme esitellä isoäitimme lapsenlapsilleen tekemiä astiastoja. Tähän julkaisuun olemme valinneet vain muutamia mallikappaleita astiastoista esittelemään isoäitimme taidokasta posliinimaalausjälkeä. 

This time around we wanted to showcase some of our grandmother's tableware pieces which she made for her family members such as her grandchildren. We have chosen a few sample pictures for this post to present some of her porcelain painting skills.

Christmas Magic - Joulun taikaa

Christmas is almost here and yet another year has passed, right in front of our eyes. For many, this year has taken some parts of us that we can never regain back, but along with a new year, also comes new beginnings, new possiblities to make beautiful memories and to better ourselves. Here are some of my favourite Chrismas themed pieces by my Grandmother. / Joulu on jo melkein täällä ja taas yksi vuosi on kulunut silmiemme edessä. Useilta meistä tämä vuosi on vienyt osia meistä, joita emme koskaan saa takaisin, mutta uuden vuoden mukana saamme uusia alkuja, uusia mahdollisuuksia luoda kauniita muistoja ja kehittää itseämme. Tässä muutamia Jouluaiheisia suosikkiteoksiani, jotka ovat Isoäitini tekemiä.

Maalaisromantiikkaa/Rustic Romance

Isoäitini vietti lapsuutensa sekä suurimman osan elämästään maalla luonnon läheisyydessä ja haki inspiraatiota sen kauneudesta.

My Grandmother spent her childhood and most of her adulthood surrounded by nature. She absorbed its beauty and used it as an inspiration for her artwork.

Kukat Vol. 1/ Flowers Vol. 1

Tässä muutamia Isoäidin rakastamia kukka-aiheisia teoksia vuosilta 1980-2013. Teokset on tehty käyttäen posliinimaalaustekniikkaa sekä öljyvärejä. 

Here are some of my Grandmothers most beloved flower themed pieces from 1980 to 2013. These pieces have been made by using porcelain painting technique and oil paints.

Tarinani taiteestani//My story, My art

Hyvät ystävät,

nyt vihdoin, pitkän odotuksen jälkeen, on aika ensimmäiselle julkaisulleni. Olen 79-vuotias kahden ihanan lapsenlapsen isoäiti. Minulle taide ja kauniit asiat ovat olleet intohimo sekä harrastus, jo vuosikymmenien ajan. Haluan tämän Blogini avulla osoittaa, että erityisesti vanhemmille ihmisille rakkaat harrastukset ja niiden tuoma ilo ovat erittäin tärkeitä eikä niistä nauttiminen katso ikää. Myös ikäihmisten on aika siirtyä nykyajan digitalisoituneeseen maailmaan ja innostua sen tuomista uusista mahdollisuuksista. Toivon, että taiteeni ja asenteeni elämään innostaa sekä nuoria että vanhempia taiteen ystäviä ja osoittaa, että ikä ei ole este itsensä toteuttamiselle. Toivon todella, että nautitte maalauksistani ja tarinoista taiteeni takana.

Dear friends,

finally, after a long wait, it is time for my first post. I am a 79-year old grandmother for my two wonderful grandchildren. For me, art and beautiful things have been a passion and a hobby for many decades. With this Blog I want to show that loved hobbies and the joy that they bring are very important especially for older people and that enjoying the things you love does not have anything to do with ones age.  I also think that it is time for elderly people to step to the modern digitalized society and to get enthusiastic about the new possibilities it brings. I hope that my art and my attitude in life inspires people of all ages and shows that age is not an obstacle for ones desire to express them self. I really hope you enjoy my art and the stories behind it.
